Lost Heaven

Posted on July 08, 2009 by Michael Darragh

Lost Heaven is hands down one of the best restaurants in Shanghai. Situated in the heart of the former French concession, this stylish restaurant offers and amazing menu inspired by Yunnan Province, in southern China, and smatterings of Thai, Burmese and Tibetan flavours.

For us, Lost Heaven ranks alongside the iconic M on the Bund as a must-do dining experience when friends and guests are in town. It’s difficult to pick a favourite dish, and in a big group your best bet is to let the excellent wait staff guide you through the gastronomical delights; the likes you have never experienced before. A little on the spicy side and not the cheapest restaurant in town, but absolutely value for money. And it certainly doesn’t hurt that it’s just a two minute walk from home.
